Tonnage Agreement

The Anglo-German Naval Agreement (AGNA) of 18 June 1935 was a naval agreement between Great Britain and Germany, which regulated the size of the navy in relation to the Royal Navy. In addition to measuring the tonnage of the entire vessel, the volume of holds (mainly on fishing vessels) is also measured and a “hold volume certificate” is issued.
