YJC-S Jr. Youth Employment Specialist Summer Internship in Youth Employment and Youth Employment – Summer Program focuses primarily on the placement of youth who face significant barriers to employment and help develop their skills prior to the employment relationship. YJC-S Youth Job Developer`s role focuses primarily on employment, placement and the provision of incentives for employers to help young people who face significant barriers to the workforce in securing and maintaining employment. Youth Job Connection (YJC), a VPI work solutions program, offers paid pre-employment workshops and paid placement services to help young people overcome barriers to employment. The goal of this program is to equip young people with the skills they need to ensure a long-term and meaningful career. The Youth-Employment-Connection program targets youth aged 15 to 29 who face multiple and/or complex barriers to employment by providing more intensive support, beyond traditional job search and job opportunities. The main objective of the Youth-Employment-Connection program is to help young people overcome the circumstances, conditions and situations that make it difficult to secure full-time employment. The paid part of the pre-employment training in this program supports this objective by strengthening support beyond traditional job search and placement opportunities. Common barriers faced by program participants include the main objective of the program is to help youth overcome the circumstances, conditions and situations that make it difficult to find full-time employment, particularly because of a newcomer refugee. Including Youth Job Connection, there are more than 30 government programs that help young people develop their skills, find jobs or start a business. .
